Changes in the market and reviewing some processes led the Homespace team to make a strategic pivot. From now on, our company is becoming Homespace Metasite Network. What does this mean, and how does it relate to the work done before?
Сhanges essentially affect the positioning and structure of the project, as well as imply more active development of the B2B segment. Our network will consist of Metasites, where users can navigate through virtual spaces with their avatars and have everything they need to interact with each other, attend events, shop and create their own worlds. And brands will get an excellent tool for interacting with their customers. Nevertheless, the current system is, in fact, the same Metaverse, but without the constraints of a single domain or server — more decentralized, more strong.
WHAT IS A METASITE:
Metasite is a protocol installed on a website that creates a new visualization layer in a photorealistic 3D space. Imagine that by following the link in the browser, instead of a flat site, a person will find himself in a three-dimensional space with photorealistic graphics and full interactivity.
With our photorealistic graphics, companies will be able to sell real goods in the virtual world, letting people interact with them. Users can examine the furniture, scroll through a gadget in their hands, get into a car buying it, and much more. Moreover, virtual spaces do not have the limitations of the natural world, meaning that brands can develop their image by creating spectacular virtual worlds.
Our network will be a system of libraries to support the operation of metasites as well as the indexing of all metasites connected to the system (checking licenses and compliance with system rules), including a streaming system to convert new users and provide streaming as a B2B service. AI will be the core of the system.
The main product is the Metabrowser — a desktop application that allows the user to browse metasites using their own computer. It contains a system of user accounts with their avatars and assets, as well as a basic Homespace wallet for all transactions within the network. Extensions to the metabrowser are built-in modules with crypto-purses and other services. The metabrowser opens up the possibility of using VR on meta-sites.
Also, we are working on developing Metasite Builder. It will allow digital agencies and users to create their own metasites and cinematics for them, including content for social networks, and connect various modules and plugins. Part of the builder is an Asset Shop, where customers can sell and buy everything they need to create meta-sites (templates, buildings, effects, etc.). Builder will have a hosting system to host metasites.
We are confident that our new strategy is more advanced. Moreover, it matches our previous goals and values, expanding opportunities for both our users and partners.
